Two warm greys sit right next to each other here. Mushroom fills the mesh, Timberwolf runs through the angular overlays, a shade cooler and just distinct enough to separate the panels. The 740 comes straight out of New Balance's early-2000s running archive, which is where the open-knit upper and segmented midsole come from. ABZORB handles the cushioning. Compared with the chunkier models in the current line-up, the shape stays narrow and low, so it works under a slim trouser as easily as under a wide one.
