Pumpernickel is a dark rye brown, and it takes the whole upper on this 740. Sea Salt handles the sole unit and part of the overlay work, which gives the shoe far more separation between upper and midsole than the sand-toned versions. Underneath the colours, the construction is unchanged: open mesh, angular overlays, a segmented midsole with ABZORB. Dark uppers also show the winter less than pale ones, which makes this the easier of the 740 colourways to wear daily.
