A trouser that looks like a classic pleated pair from the front but runs an elasticated waistband instead of a fixed closure. That makes it considerably more comfortable without the silhouette paying for it. The pleats add volume through the thigh and let the leg fall straighter from there. The wool blend gives a matte surface and a firmer drape than cotton would.
